In 2017,
the Creepy Co. obtained a license from the Topps Company, Inc. with an agreement
to manufacture and produce several GPK-related items of merchandise over
a series of releases — or waves. The packaging is nostalgically made up of
OS1 and OS2 GPK color combinations with items reminiscent of the Imperial
Toys GPK reign. The Creepy Co., best known for their soft enamel pins, operate
on a process of perfection and are committed to quality product. The ‘Ghoul Gazette’
news reel for the first wave release is below.

GARBAGE PAIL KIDS™ + CREEPY CO. FIRST
WAVE RELEASE
SEPT. 7TH @ 7PM CST
Penned in blood by Kellie Taylor on August
28, 2017: “2017 marks 32 years of Garbage Pail Kids™: can you
believe it?
After 3 decades of mischief and mayhem, we’re happy to see that
the franchise is decidedly not stale, like so many wax packs of its un-chewed
stick gum! The smell may be gone to years of musty basement dwelling, but the
memories have yet to fade. To celebrate our partnership with the Topps Company,
we are offering a foundational release of three unique items. READ BELOW!”

CREEPY CO. LAUNCHES GARBAGE PAIL KIDS
PINS, STICKERS AND MORE

“Since its earliest days, Adam Bomb and
the Garbage Pail Kids gang have been about more than just trading cards. Cheap
toys, posters, stationary and plenty of other merchandise have come out with their
likeness over the years. And now Creepy Co. (CreepyCompany.com) has some new GPK
merchandise available through their website. The lauch includes a collection of
five premium enamil pins. Each has a classic character from the original series.
Sticking with a similar theme are six buttons, which are part of the set. Creepy
Co. has plans for several different button sets in the months ahead. One of the
few things that screams ’80s as much as Garbage Pail Kids is puffy stickers. They’re
the final piece of the initial launch. The set of 12 GPK puffy stickers are done
in a way that’s a throwback to similar stickers that came out during the franchise’s
original peak. All of the Creepy Co. Garbage Pail Kids items are fully licensed
by Topps.”

Recognize these guys? If these things look especially familiar it’s because you
might have had them stuck to your bedpost or locker, or who knows where else.
In 1986, the Imperial toy company put out a slew of ancillary Garbage Pail Kids
products. The “Puffy Stick-Ons” were one of those, and a personal favorite
of mine. When Topps granted us the license, I KNEW I had to do a reproduction
sheet of these! THIS THURSDAY marks the beginning of a series of GPK x Creepy
Co. items. Just the tip of the iceberg, really. I’m happy to report that Creepy
Co. is really branching out with our product lineup, and we’re super grateful
that GPK will be an amazing sandbox for these efforts! Many Creepy thanks to all
of our fans and supporters! – Kellie
