SKET ONE SCULPTURE: FOR DISPLAY ONLY

Although no GPK artists were in attendance at DCon, at least once Garbage
Pail Kids license holder was; Atomic Toybox, ran by Mike Polis, had
urban graffiti artist Sket One create an official Topps GPK poster for
the event. Per website, “Michael Polis – ceo /creator /exec producer.
Michael Polis is a senior level strategist and producer specializing
in brands, intellectual property, and consumer products.” Per artist
website, “Sket One is a Las Vegas based visual artist [& desinger]
with roots in traditional urban culture [& American graffiti] with
an old-school urban background.” The limited edition poster of
50 was also for sale on the Atomic Nerd website, the shop for Atomic
Toybox.

Summary:
Meet the Garbage Pail Kids: Nat Nerd, Messy Tessie, Greaser Greg, Windy Winston,

Starting with Series 5, artist Brent Engstom took over creating character
images for the employee GL exclusives. On June 10, 2023, GL Collectibles
took to social media to introduce the next employee for their ‘Meet
the Team’ installments, stating, “Meet GL’s resident IndyCar expert,
Gina! Gina [Lewis] joined GreenLight last year as our Racing & Hobby
Account Sales Representative. She works closely with our partnered IndyCar
teams and some of GL’s hobby accounts. She has a deep passion for IndyCar
Racing and attends over half of the IndyCar schedule each year with
her husband and daughter. Who would
you like to hear about next?“
On September 25, 2024, GL took to social media to post a picture of
their employee and state, “Joyriding Gina with the raw body version
of her 1971 Dodge Challenger “Official Puke Car.” Score!”,
showcasing the RAW variant.

Garbage Pail Kids Collection description:
If you grew up in the 80s or early 90s, you must have seen the trading
cards or stickers of the deformed and abnormal Garbage Pale Kids?
If you want a unique t-shirt that evokes feelings of nostalgia, we
have officially licensed clothes on the sweepers, as they were called
in Swedish. Garbage Pail Kids was a line of sticker cards produced
by the Topps Company and originally released in 1985, designed to
parody the American doll brand Cabbage Patch Kids.

GPK posters for Series 1 through 3 (120 characters, 4 unreleased) were
available through the Hybris Merchandise Wholesale webshop starting
in 2022, which sold to resellers and corporate customers only, such
as JustPosters™,
that sold directly to consumers. In early 2024, poster images for several
OS1 characters were posted to the Hybris store website in 2024 with
a retail price; the posters measure 50cm x 70cm which converts to 19.7
x 27.50 in inches. These image were taken down from the wholesale website
in the autumn of that same year and re-added with the same, one-size
only poster option, with a new price, and also added to their retail
store. All characters were also added to the JustPosters retail website,
but with three size and price options.

In October 2024, nine new items were posted to the Hybris Retail Wholesale
pages. Four new coffee mugs to go with the previous 2022 Bony JOANIE
mug, and five new apparel pieces with the OS2 PATTY Putty character
added to the Hybris line up, and the OS1 Fryin’ BRIAN twin name showing
the electric current surrounding the character—the volt flash is
missing from the earlier Electric BILL character. The apparel is also
missing the official ‘In Trash We Trust’ motto logo from the 2022 release.

Although not technically a GPK brand license
with an outside source, Topps has used their MLB™ (Major League
Baseball) license for a few GPK x MLB mashups over the past few years.
These releases were mainly Topps Shop online sets from 2022, GPK x MLB
Series 1 (by artist Keith Shore), from 2023, GPK x MLB Series 2 (by
artist Alex Pardee), and from this year, 2024, GPK x MLB Series 3 (by
artist David Gross); see the ‘GPK Online Release’ sections for more
information. GPK artist DAVID Gross is back, creating another batch
of caricature-style GPK characters for the 2024 Bowman Chrome release,
but as ultra-rare case hits only.

Per a Facebook post, by the artist,
on September 3, 2024, Gross mentioned, “I worked on 24 Garbage
Pail Kids cards in the new Bowman Baseball Chrome set coming out on
the 11th. Featuring rookies and top minor league stars. The rookies
will have the RC badge on them. They will be tough to get for sure as
they will be one in every-other case, I think. NOTE: these are chrome
cards. The pictures I post are just my mock ups I send to Topps so they
are not chrome style. Here’s one of the cards I painted: James Wood”.

Bowman Chrome blast email, stating, “2024 Bowman Chrome Bowman

and rookies through the demented art of David Gross. Collectors
should chase these cards for their unique blend of baseball and pop

On September 19, 2023, GPK News announced that Monogram International
Inc. would deput their 3D GPK Figural Foam Bag Clips Series 3 at the
New York Toy Fair from September 30 through October 03, which will be
available to the public later next year. Both Series 3 and and a potential
Series 4 have been in development for quite some time. Visit the GPK

the Licenses 2022 page for the first two series releases, plus the ADAM
Bomb figural bank character, etcetera.

On
February 7, 2024, Monogram International, Inc. took to social media (Instagram,
etcetera) to post a GPK ad for the figural bag clip characters, simply stating
“Calling all GPK fans.”

Checklist changes from tentative line-up, that I sent to Topps/Ira on
December 09, 2021, to final release; only one character change/addition
and one nomenclature change. The mock-up sheet showed up online around
April 2024, and even earlier for their catalog. The no.6 ‘ROY Bot’ character
listed was originally planned for the tentative Series 4 release, but
pulled and used in Series 3, to replace the JOE Blow character which
was removed, and renamed ‘Hot Head HARVEY’; most likely due to the fact
that the Bazooka brand was acquisitioned by Apax Partner in October
2023. The CHASE nomenclature shows up on the foam ‘cards’, so listed
as ‘Exclusive A’ & ‘Exclusive B’ within the catalog, and Fryin(g)’
RYAN was changed to Charred CHAD. Pre-orders for Series 4 started to
post online mid-2024, but so far only at BAM! (Books-a-Million), with
the manufacturer listed as Alliance Entertainment (LLC), a worldwide
wholesaler and distributor of home entertainment products. No packaging
mock-ups or final bag clip images have appeared, as of yet.

The ADAM Bomb figure should make it’s premiere at next month’s New York
Comic Con. On September 25, 2024, Polyphony posted an image on their
social media pages of twenty-two yellow and red neckties, stating, “See
you in NYC?”; a visible hint of the upcoming GPK ADAM Bomb figure.
September 29, 2024, Polyphony posted a GPK packaging sneak peek image
to social media, simply stating, “Who’s Adam Bomb[?]”
and on October 09, 2024, Polyphony posted a OS1 WRAPPER poster image,
simply stating, “Say What[?]” NOTE:
The box packaging for NYCC is apparently exclusive.
